36 questions to fall in love

36 questions to fall in love
Mutual vulnerability fosters closeness. Allowing yourself to be open and honest with another person can be hard. Thankfully these 36 questions and convo starters developed by brainiac psychologists are designed to make getting to know someone really really well a whole lot easier and for whatever reason you find yourself compelled to ask.
So what do you need to know about someone to love them?
Start with these 36 things:
- Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
- Would you like to be famous? In what way?
- Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?
- What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
- When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?
- If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?
- Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?
- Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.
- For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
- If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
- Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story in as much detail as possible.
- If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?
- If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know?
- Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?
- What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?
- What do you value most in a friendship?
- What is your most treasured memory?
- What is your most terrible memory?
- If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?
- What does friendship mean to you?
- What roles do love and affection play in your life?
- Alternate sharing something you consider a positive characteristic of your partner. Share a total of five items.
- How close and warm is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier than most other people’s?
- How do you feel about your relationship with your mother?
- Make three true “we” statements each. For instance, “We are both in this room feeling …”
- Complete this sentence: “I wish I had someone with whom I could share …”
- If you were going to become a close friend with your partner, please share what would be important for him or her to know.
- Tell your partner what you like about them; be very honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone you’ve just met.
- Share with your partner an embarrassing moment in your life.
- When did you last cry in front of another person? By yourself?
- Tell your partner something that you like about them already.
- What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?
- If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven’t you told them yet?
- Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?
- Of all the people in your family, whose death would you find most disturbing? Why?
- Share a personal problem and ask your partner’s advice on how he or she might handle it. Also, ask your partner to reflect back to you how you seem to be feeling about the problem you have chosen.

Because it'd be a very unnecessary ball. And incriminating, if I wasn't with it alone.

If you don't want this crystal ball, then perhaps I could buy it. I'd have enough, no matter how expensive it would be.
[Something like that, in which could tell the future? Someone would pay a lot of Mora for it... Maybe having such a relic would make the Tasritsa's pursuit of justice and peace much easier.
He could try this crystal ball as a test first.]

Don't tell me this might actually be some true magical trinket or that you believe it?
no subject
I wouldn't know if it's true, unless I try something first.
[What he would do with that shiny crystal ball if it was able to show the future would be only for him and a select few of his subordinates to know.]
no subject
Or maybe I'm just biased.

At this moment, Tartaglia kind of wants this to be a challenge. Just what is he capable of? What are his weaknesses and strengths?]
That's a bit odd... I thought I heard you say this item as unnecessary earlier.
Bias or no bias, an inquiring mind would like to know. Are you worried I might do something you wouldn't approve of?
no subject
No need to remind me what I said. I only meant that it's probably some worthless fake garbage. After all, wouldn't a true thing be hidden away, not sold away like this?
And I'm not so stingy. Come on, you can be the first to look into this crystal ball. I can wait a few minutes. And how does one even use it? Some kind of spell? Show me, it might be entertaining.

If Tartaglia were telepathic, it'd be scary. Any strong opponent he'd come across would stand much, much less of a chance of defeating him in combat. The younger man would assume correctly! The blue orb worn on the side of Tartaglia's hip is a source of magic. It's his Vision, a gift from the hydro archon to be more precise...He also has a Delusion, another magic type of item that operates sort of similar to a Vision--but those have been for mostly the Fatui (his nation's military) to possess.
Tartaglia laughs a bit.]
You're interested enough to see a demonstration? [A bit playfully, he hums as he gazes at the crystal ball.] I can't say I'm more familiar with this trinket than you are, but I'd still like to see if it could predict anything.
I'd imagine there has to be some sort of magic to it...
[How would one be able to activate the shiny sphere though? In confidence, he decides to touch the top of it... Somehow, the inside glows, as if a light from the inside of it had turned on. Soon, the transparency becomes clouded.]
Huh. [Curiously, Tartaglia watches as the cloudiness starts to shift and change. There's an animated image of feminine figure running alongside him. This woman is dark skinned, has spikes adorning around her big dark pigtails, and has some sort of guitar instrument, along with a small drum, strapped to her back. There's a red orb worn on her clothes; a Pyro Vision.
He pauses, and tries to think of who she might be. Was this supposed to be taking place in the future? His future?
The trees in the background... The clusters of pink on their branches; are those cherry blossoms? Such trees don't exist in Liyue in his world, that's for sure.]

[Then, the images change suddenly, reflecting now not a stranger's future, but Franz's instead. The future that he doesn't know, not truly, as no one can truly know their own future, but, it shows what he knows for sure must be the next morning of his own life and- he's not surprised, because he's already been getting ready, and so--]
[He watches, and he doesn't even realise, that now, Tartaglia can see this right now, too, the images--]
[Of Franz donning the suit of armour
(read: a mecha), not his own, but Albert's. Of going to the duel at five in the morning, in Albert's place, pretending to be Albert to duel the Count of Monte Cristo in Albert's stead, for Albert, Albert who'll still be asleep thanks to Franz's sleeping pills and won't know and hopefully won't see--Franz, not talking before the duel or during it, so that no one knows that he's not Albert Morcerf--
Franz, desperately trying to defeat the Count for Albert and-]
[As he watches right now in the ball, his breath hitches, even though it's the future he's planning for, but, he realises that he still held out a little bit of hope that maybe, possibly, he might win, maaaaybe. But as he watches right now that duel in the ball... he doesn't seem to be winning, not that he's surprised--]
[And then-- oh, he looks to be in a lot of pain, huh? And he had no idea he had that much blood inside him. No, he knew, but it's different to see that... and then, huh... He had no idea he'd see Albert one more time, but if this crystal ball is to be believed...]
[He watches, transfixed, and then whispers, with a strange tone of voice--] Albert, why are you ruining your shirt like that, you'll catch a cold or something. Stop it.
[Still unable to stop looking at the images from the ball, Franz smiles a litte, forgetting that Tartaglia can see all this, too, and whispers again] Stop it. It's a nice shirt, too, and you know it's too late already, don't you? No, you don't know, you never know, Albert, huh? You'll get your hands dirty...
[Franz smiles almost shyly, but the look in his eyes as he's watching the future images is utterly transfixed.]
Albert, I never knew you're this good at making bandages, huh? Nice...

The warrior within would have loved to challenge either--no, both knights. The armor looks so different than that of any other knight in Teyvat.
The pair of knights appear larger than the average human, so, that would mean he'd have to transform into Foul Legacy to be on equal footing with them.
The more silvery armored knight dismembers one of his foe's arms as the voice of the woman who calls out to this other knight, pleas for him to end the duel.
Then, he--Edmund, his name--slices off the other arm of... Wait. The other in the different suit of armor must be...!
Like Franz, he's unable to look away as he watches what seems to be Franz's death. His friend, Albert, tried to bandage him to hopefully stop the bleeding.
Hm? Franz gave his friend sleeping pills? Ahh, so he fights in his friend's stead.
Tartaglia does pick up on the man's whispers as he sees that vision of the future to the very end. As it fades, the sphere changes back to its original, crystalline transparency. It feels as if he'd been holding his breath for almost the entire time.]
Your world is very interesting... [His eyes look from the transparent ball to Franz. And now, out of his own curiosity, he has to ask;] Now that you've seen the outcome of this battle, would you do anything to change it, Franz? If this is truly what will come to pass...
Perhaps, with some sparring and training, you could change your fate. If you wanted to.
[Sounds like Tartaglia's interested in taking part of possibly helping him become stronger. And stronger. Not just for Franz's benefit, but also for the opportunity to test and push on his own limits.] Could you tell me more about these giant suits of armor?

Man, whoever you are - and you still haven't honoured me with your name - you must've hallucinated something fierce while looking into this simple glass or crystal ball. I swear I won't tell anyone about your hallucinations, and you can do the same - stay silent, I mean. That'd be a polite thing to do, now, wouldn't it?
You wish to know about the suits of armour? Seeing as that was in your hallucination? I can tell you a bit about the suits.

But then I'd probably get lost in the moment and say whatever I'm thinking right this second anyway, if it's truly important. Unless I'm calling to make a report.

2. You'd have to be not at all from Teyvat to not have heard of the Fatui Harbingers.
4. That's easy enough to figure out. Testing my strengths to their very limits against a challenging enough opponent, or hordes of them. After the fight, win or lose, there'd still time leftover to go fishing!
24. I'm still keeping in touch with my mother, as well as most of the rest of my family. I may not be able to see them as much, since my assignments require me to be stationed outside of Snezhnaya. But, I do write often! I even send them gifts, when I get the chance to.
