[Kurena winces at the first part -- that was actually worse than what she had in mind. The frown doesn't quite deepen, though a moment passes as she considers his words.]

I don't really know anybody outside of work.

[In her case, work and friendships (and more-than-friendships) often go hand in hand, but it's not like she can or should expect the same for him, after all. Not when the nature of work is so different.]

A lot of them. And then I see private clients outside of work.

Well, you know the saying about all work and no play. Even if you don't have a hobby, a break now and then won't hurt.
