Unavoidable? Hmm. I am not so sure- the best we can do in any given moment? Perhaps.

[ It's a concern he has had, and even confronted some people on. Too many have shouted 'but he's an alien' before glancing over at J'onn and Superman and trying to change their phrasing. ]

To be fair, most of our more... unfortunate decisions would've been avoidable if we'd had foreknowledge of that specific situation coming up rather than having to make that choice in the heat of the moment.

[As much as the heroic community would like to think themselves as above prejudice, they're unfortunately pretty anthropocentric. Billy can't quite exclude himself from that, either, considering how he handled Mr. Mind's invasion plans.
