[He shakes his head; this one he knows the answer to.]

Arrancar.

[The word is still somewhat smudged and slurred on Wonderweiss' tongue, but it's clearer than anything else he's said thus far. One hand gripping the bony 'crown' that adorns his forehead, he demonstrates by pulling the mask remnant in one direction after another, the force of each motion tugging his head along slightly each time. Arrancar- ripped mask. You see?]

Oh... I don't know... what that means. You are not from Sweden? [ The Swede is a very simple pirate from the 1700s, any other of his time would be screaming witchcraft or demons but Swede is too slow even for that. He just smiles and shyly twirls his hair. ]

I like your crown... I only have a bandana.... but I am no one fancy. I am happy you will be my friend? [ He's always looking to make friends and is open to anyone. ]

[Wonderweiss starts to frown a little when his explanation fails- he has neither the words nor the wits to make it any clearer- but is quickly distracted when the Swede continues talking. Earlier communication hiccup already half-forgotten, he grins at the compliment and attempts to return it.]

[He likes the pirate's pretty bandana and would be more than happy to be friends! There aren't many people who actually take the time to talk with Wonderweiss like this, rather than talking at him or talking over him. You don't seem to mind his not-smartness or how he struggles with words and you treat him just like any other person- that's already more than halfway to being a potential friend as far as he's concerned.]

[ The Swede is not very bright himself, he can speak pretty well but- but that's about it... everything he says is nonsense but he is a complete sweetheart. He'd never think to judge anyone, he's just happy to talk to someone. His crewmates don't really talk to him either, he knows what it's like! ]

I... I will make you a friendship bracelet, okej? [ He'd never met anyone more confused than himself and that means he now has to take care of someone. Uh oh. ]

I am nervous... I never take care of anyone before...

[Wonderweiss echoes happily, bouncing a little in excitement before a slowly percolating realization pulls his attention away from thoughts of bracelets. There's something important that he's forgetting, isn't he? He was here for some sort of reason, he thinks, so is there something he should be doing right now...?]

A-aah!

[Abruptly coming to a decision, he thrusts out a hand in a belated greeting. Shaking hands, that's what you're supposed to do when meeting a friend, right?]

[ The Swede is on shore leave, he has half a day to do as he likes before his crewmates Roach and Mr. Buttons come pick him up. The best time to make friends! He shyly shakes his head, smiling. ] D... don't worry, I keep you safe... I will try. When the English come you can also hide in my barrel.
