I wouldn't say I feel badly towards humans as a whole so much as I resent how many of our monsters convince themselves they're doing good. My ancestors defected from the Covenant of St. George, and the family hasn't let itself forget how they justify their secret crusade.

A worthy thing to resent. Your kind is so complex, dear friend. I think, sometimes its less convincing and more honest belief. Shame, pride, guilt, and—indeed—personal gain, selfishness, wrath. So many reasons why. Tell me, if you would, what crusade you speak? I've been through many.
