The ability to lie is one of the chief contributors to polite society. None of us want the truth as badly as we think we do.

Yes. There's no point to the white lie to spare feelings whenever the truth of it usually makes itself known eventually.

I suppose I'm generally in favor. Imagine what it'd do to my livelihood if I suggested we trade it in for absolute truth.
