Education is great. It's school that sucks.

School sucking isn't. But I think the education system itself is why plenty of people don't respect education in the first place.

So what's busted about it?

Well for instance, unless if you take a super special class, how would you know about some of the women and minorities that made history? If you're a white man in a basic history class, you'd think all of history basically just revolved around you.

So. Is this an issue with school or history class?

That’s why I said “for instance”. If you need a literal example, I can give it.

Exploiting teachers into underpaid positions without the funding to actually help education programs. Bloated sports programs fill that void. So why study when you can carry on to do the bare minimum just to get off with a scholarship?

Very astute. More people should just learn in their own way instead of being forced to all fit into the same narrow box of regular education.

Definitely. As they say, history is written by the winners. Trying to get an unbiased take on it is like trying to hold water in your hands for any length of time.

And who knows where those hands were to get that water in the first place?

Nowhere good I am sure. Most of history's great people were frightfully unclean.
