As in, literally. As in, my girlfriend's family ended up moving to another dimension because Homeland Security would like to have a few choice words with them. And I went with them, because I was also a Person of Interest and it wasn't like I was going to be able to live with my parents after everything they did during the three weeks/three years (depending on whether you were inside the town or outside of it) that the whole place got taken over by gross demons.
I understand about the high tax rates though. On the other hand, if there are a lot of rich people there, why would someone who's not rich have to pay more taxes than they would everywhere else? Is it messed up like America is?
(I'm from America, but not having lived there since I was 14, I've come to understand that their political structure is really fucked up.)

You got me there. I don't think Duckburg is cursed. I mean, I'm sure it has been. A few times. But I don't think it is right now.
And the rich aren't really influencing the taxes so much as property and cost of living. Those are through the roof. Also, I take that back, the taxes are super high because of all those rich dbags, too, but not because they're rich. It's because of all the property damage and emotional trauma they seem to cause every week or so. I swear to God, just try to get a reasonable insurance rate in that town.
