Snakes are adorable.

No, no. I believe you're quite right! Despite their insistence to the contrary.

Once you realize they're more or less mobile, carnivorous noodles, it's hard to be too afraid of them.

What kind of research do you do?

I'm a herpetologist, which means I specialize in reptiles and amphibians. Right now, I'm looking at rises and falls in local frog and snake species and working on some breeding projects for endangered turtle species.

No, in these cases it's mostly habitat loss. It's not easy to convince a lot of people to leave swamps undeveloped and seemingly useless to people.
