[He's taking advantage a tiny bit. It's very doubtful that he'd shower a teacher who was equally attentive but not as pretty with half as much of his attention.]

[Pats him gently on the head... what a good student he is.]

I dunno, I think that might be another bad rap of mine, but I don't care.

Ah, that's relaxing, can you keep doing it?

[He'll also lean right against Atsushi with a blissed out smile.]

I'm not sure even I could argue that a teacher's job is to be a bed.

Well then, that's just you going above and beyond.

[Oh, that feels nice on his scalp. He's not gonna fall asleep now just because he wants more of that nice feeling. He lets out a pleased little hum.]

True. I guess I shouldn't be so worried.

[Lots of gentle scritching for Kunimi. He should probably stop at some point, but it's hard to when Kunimi looks so content.]

[Yeah, they're pretty much cuddling at this point so Atsushi might as well settle in for the long haul.]

Hey... I do appreciate it though, that you don't just write me off. Even when I just joke about it.

[It's fine as long as none of Atsushi's coworkers interrupt. Atsushi gives Kunimi's shoulder a pat too while he's at it.]

Everyone needs someone to believe in them, don't they?

[He's quiet for a moment, and when he speaks again it's in a tone Kunimi has never heard him use. Gruff and brisk, a lower register.]

Atsushi's dense, so if you're going to do something that gets him fired, you need to at least make sure it's worth it.

[kunimeh]

... eh?

[The strangest part about whatever's just happened is that Kunimi can feel the shift. He knows someone can't just turn into a completely different person but that's his first thought - he's going to sit up, look over and see a stranger instead of his beloved teacher.

But the reality somehow proves to be even more impossible. It's still Atsushi close beside him, and yet not.]

Wh - what?

[There's a sharpness in his gaze, and his speech patterns are totally different, and yet it's still Atsushi. More or less.]

I said that you're being too subtle. He hasn't gotten laid in years, he's not going to notice your flirting unless you just kiss him already.

[A long-suffering sigh.]

[Did... his teacher... just get possessed...]

Okay, uh. Who are you?

[Kunimi's face is absurdly hot now that sex with Nakajima-sensei has been brought up in such unforgivingly frank language. It's just rather jarring to go from sweet words and touches to "are you gonna bang or what??" especially in this circumstance.]

You had a reading about split personalities in fiction as compared to the real life disorders last week, don't tell me you forgot already.

[they had homework on it and everything]

[Oh... that makes more sense in a real, actual world in which Kunimi lives way. It also means there's something he needs to know.]

Do y - I mean, does Nakajima-sensei want me to kiss him?

He won't say no.

[He knows Atsushi better than anyone else, so he can say that with confidence.]

And getting laid would be good for him.

[kunimeh]

That's not really the same thing. I like him, and I know we're not gonna date or anything but... I kinda want to be more than convenient.

[tigerpoet]

[Sigh.]

It's unethical to be involved with a student, and he worries about that kind of thing. But you're definitely his favorite, more than just 'convenient'.

[kunimeh]

[Well. That's different. "Unethical" isn't a concept that really touches a teenager like him - if he wants it and Atsushi's just agreeing, not forcing anything, then who cares? And he'd never tell anyone, so there's no reason that has to be a problem.

With a hint of a smile, he nods.]

Okay. Thanks for letting me know, er - do you have a name?

[Atsushi blinks a few times, and his usual softness comes back into his bearing - along with more than a dose of surprise.]

Ah - I'm sorry, he doesn't usually... That must have been a shock to you, I hope he didn't say anything rude?

[He has no memory of that conversation, nor a clue that it was about him.]

[kunimeh]

[You're definitely his favourite, more than just convenient.

Fondness surges through Kunimi like a warm, soothing wave and he wraps his arms around Atsushi in a hug, face buried in his hair. Seeing the marks of such a different personality on his face really did shock Kunimi more than he realized. As grateful as he is to the other, he's relieved to have his teacher back.]

I like you a lot, y'know... as way more than a teacher.

[Before he can think too much about what comes next, Kunimi lifts his head to brush his nose lightly against Atsushi's, then dips in closer to kiss him.]

[Two for two on startling Atsushi. He lets out a soft gasp before it's muffled by Kunimi's lips.

This is wrong, and bad, and unethical, and he could get in so much trouble, and - and - and he's just grateful that Kunimi doesn't think less of him now, doesn't think he's a freak.

He doesn't realize he's hugging Kunimi back until he's already done it. Atsushi pulls back from Kunimi a fraction, face bright red.]

K-Kunimi... I like you too, very much, but - you have to know this is a bad idea.

[Not a refusal. Not even 'I don't like you that way'.]

he's not crying obvs but this expression is difficult to find on him so had to be crying icon

[Just as "Tiger" promised, Atsushi sounds equal parts eager and wary. Not turning Kunimi away with gentle kindness to soften the blow, only seeking an answer to their problem that isn't "we can't" so that they can continue.

Kunimi's heart is beating so fast and hard it's practically vibrating. He cups one of Atsushi's flushed cheeks in his hand (cold fingertips and slightly clammy palm, at least it means he has a warm heart?) and takes a turn brushing back his hair this time.]

I know you shouldn't, and maybe that makes me selfish for trying anyway, but... no matter how I look at it, I just can't see you as a bad idea.

[Leaning back in, he presses their foreheads together. Not kissing him again just yet, but close enough that a very slight shift of his or Atsushi's head will make it happen.]
