The things we become known for aren’t always what we’d like to be known for. Reputations are hard to run from. Sometimes they’re not even deserved. So here’s your chance to set the record straight. Clear up some misplaced assumptions, debunk any rumours about yourself and defy your stereotypes.

I would much rather all the rest of them not do murder either. We don't need to kill when we feed--though it does mean feeding more frequently. Trade-offs, you know?

If that’s the case, are you implying that there are individuals that would consent to such a thing? Feeding without murdering, that is.

[He sincerely doubts that.]

Individual vampires? Most do. We live in a society that stays hidden because most of us can avoid killing everyone we eat--I mean, meet.

I don't suppose you want a demonstration?

Absolutely not.

[His expression becomes a bit threatening. Could he even kill a vampire? Probably not. But he is not about to allow himself to be fed upon, even if it wouldn’t kill him (he doesn’t really trust the truth in that anyway).]

Don’t you get anywhere near me.

[She holds her hands up, empty, in the universal gesture of 'I'm not going to hurt you', shaking her head.]

[D33 narrows his eyes, begins to question why he decided to strike up a conversation with a vampire in the first place. It’s all based on curiosity, really, but is it worth it to put himself in danger?

[Apparently so.]

I believe you may have misunderstood my inquiry. I am assuming you don’t feed off of other vampires. [Though, he could be wrong - he’s totally blind here.] Are there humans that consent to such things where you come from?

Ah, no, not everyone I feed on consents to that.

My bite feels pretty euphoric, so my usual method of feeding is to show up all dolled up, looking like a lost lamb at a bar in the bad part of town. Let a guy lure me off into a corner, and bite him when things get hot and heavy. I'm sure most of them interpret it differently than being fed on.

[Euphoric? D33 can certainly see how the approach would be enticing, given how she’s described it. He recognizes again that he has so little knowledge on even the idea of vampires that he by no means as any place to argue that with her, but something about what she’s saying just doesn’t seem right.]

You’re saying they don’t notice that you’re draining their blood?

They're usually already drunk, so if they're a little dizzy afterwards and hungover the next day, who's to know?

If you were in my shoes, how would you keep yourself fed?

[D33 takes a moment to think about it, but it really is just a moment. He’s certainly not the most empathetic person in the world.]

[And he writes the idea off right then and there. Time to endure more of his questioning.]

Doesn’t it hurt at the time that it takes place?

Only a little. My fangs are nice and sharp. And usually they're nice and distracted at the time.
