bad rap
The things we become known for aren’t always what we’d like to be known for. Reputations are hard to run from. Sometimes they’re not even deserved. So here’s your chance to set the record straight. Clear up some misplaced assumptions, debunk any rumours about yourself and defy your stereotypes.
how to play:
Top level with something(s) your character is tired of people assuming about them, blaming them for, or pigeonholing them about, etc. Say it in person or over text.
Comment on any surprising, or not so surprising declarations.

[ It was probably also because Nemuri was accustomed to dealing with actual hardened criminals, and Asahi did not look or act anything like them. ]

I... do kind of want to look wild. I just don't want to scare people. I'm just not sure how to do both.
no subject
It's difficult to have both because theme of "wildness" is associated with ferocity, or worse, the unknown. That naturally scares people because our ancestors had to survive in the wild, and we don't want to go back to that because of our modern conveniences and the modern "safety" of the urban jungle. "Wild" can also mean "removed from society's norms", so you have image of the delinquents and the yakuza - which you fall under to some people, apparently.
The most you can do is to make "wild" look appealing and sexy. Like it's dangerous, but they can't keep away, like the image of femme fatales in leopard print. Some women like the "sexy bad boy" look. Another option is to make "wild" look "strong and reliable", like Tarzan.

He thinks about it, other ways he can reinterpret 'wild'. Maybe... maybe that's not exactly what he wants?]
Sometimes people on other teams will call me "samurai guy." That usually feels really good, so maybe I should go with that?

[ She grinned. Samurai weren't really "wild", but those ronin wandering around might seem "rugged", which... probably was a pretty apt descriptor. ]

['Rugged' probably was the word he meant, even though it's not what he said.]

[ Nemuri looked him up and down, then nodded. The thing is, even ronin back then could be a source of fear, or uneasiness at the very least, because not all of them were righteous... and loyalty was a highly esteemed virtue, which ronin didn't seem to possess. Hmm. ]
If you go around doing good deeds for people and gain a reputation for kindness, that might help... but if you're thinking of a style overhaul, then we've got to think of your clothes.

My clothes? I mean, I guess I just wear sports clothes most of the time, because of volleyball. But I don't mind dressing up when I can.
no subject
So what do you wear when you're not going to practice?
no subject
[Still hard for him to boast about it, even though it's 100% true.]
Um, well, if it's not to volleyball practice or school, I guess I dress casually? But, um, a bit... preppy...
no subject
[ She gave him a smile and a pat on the back. ]
Hmm... "Preppy" normally does give off a dependable look, but considering the rest of your appearance, it might make you look a little bit older than you are. Honestly I think there's nothing wrong with that and that you can wear whatever you want! But it doesn't quite fit in with a "rugged" appearance, if that's what you're going for.

[Being a teenager is awful.]

That's okay! That means you get to find out, and that's just as fun!
How about a shopping trip?

Well, okay. A-As long as it's not a bother to you. I don't want you to go out of your way..
I don't recall if they've introduced themselves to each other oops, doing it again for posterity
Ah, by the way - you can call me Kayama. Or Kayama-sensei, if you'd prefer.
[ Going out shopping with him in her hero persona would guarantee no privacy. He might even get stalkers. ]
They haven't, I don't think lol
[That's the easiest part of all this to tackle.]
whoops! well better late than never!
And you are?

If I may, um... what do you teach?
no subject
I teach Modern Hero Art History at U.A. High School.
