bad rap
The things we become known for aren’t always what we’d like to be known for. Reputations are hard to run from. Sometimes they’re not even deserved. So here’s your chance to set the record straight. Clear up some misplaced assumptions, debunk any rumours about yourself and defy your stereotypes.
how to play:
Top level with something(s) your character is tired of people assuming about them, blaming them for, or pigeonholing them about, etc. Say it in person or over text.
Comment on any surprising, or not so surprising declarations.

Fuck it.
[But they both know he's gonna do it, so he doesn't keep up the front for long. He turns around and squats down a little so she can hop on.
[Everyone's looking at them already and they're leaving anyway ... why the hell not.]

[Once she's set, off they go. He moves like she weighs absolutely nothing and - as guessed - literally everyone's looking at them as they pass. Some look like they think the pair of them are absolute lames, some are laughing, some whisper back and forth ... Kon doesn't really care. Couple seconds later, they're out the door and in the cold night air.]

Jesus, it’s cold! Go faster, steed. [She’s still giggling, this time into his ear. Eventually her head comes to rest on his shoulder while she continues to laugh lightly as they make their way along. That definitely won’t drive him absolutely crazy.]

[help.]
Alright, alright, I gotcha.
[And he does pick up the pace a little. Not much because, like, gotta keep up appearances at least a little, and also there's a fair bit of ice on the sidewalk.
[After a few seconds of walking:]
Hey, if it's too cold for the whole hike home, my place is like three blocks away. You're totally welcome to crash there, chill til you feel like ordering an uber, whatever.

[She ruffles at his hair a little, nuzzles a little closer. The alcohol is probably keeping her warmer than anything right now, but Conner is plenty warm himself - sue her for getting a little close!]
Let’s gooooo! We can watch Netflix while I eat all your Pop-tarts.

[... it's clearly a joke, but he regrets it almost as soon as he says it because she just said not to make it sound weird.]

[She leans in again toward his ear, playfully purring:] I am single now, you know.
[It’s 100% a joke (except for the single part - he knows well enough about her rather recent break-up), and surely he’ll know that...right?]
no subject
[He does his best to no-sell it, though, and tries to play if off by glancing over his shoulder and flashing her a grin.]
Don't threaten me with a good time, dude.
no subject
[Don’t mind while she tickles your sides a little. She stops quickly though - she’s gonna fall right off your back doing that (and in fact almost does).]
Whoopsie!
no subject
["I didn't say that" was how that was supposed to go, but the tickling and Jess nearly losing her grip cuts that short. He quickly adjusts his hold on her, hiking the arms around her legs a little further up her thigh and laughing when he's got a hold on her.]
You okay back there?
no subject
I’m going wild back here, okay? I can’t be tamed, Conner!
[This is why they’re best friends. Jessica never has more fun than she does with this guy right here. She thinks about that as she relaxes against him, sighs.]
You are so warm, dude.
no subject
Now just imagine that with a couch and a blanket.
no subject
[She gasps, sounding like she (or he) just had an epiphany. In her drunken state, NOTHING sounds better than snuggling under a blanket right now. And besides, it’s not like she has a boyfriend to get jealous right now (she thinks a bit bitterly).]
Conner, we have to.
no subject
[He glances over his shoulder as they round a corner. His apartment is only a block away at this point.]
I thought that was the plan.
no subject
[Was that the plan?]
Warmth, Conner! Warmth!
no subject
[Because that seemed like the implication to him. It's not like they hadn't done it before, single or otherwise.]

[Speaking of which ... here they are. Excuse him while he wriggles his arm free to get the door.]

If you want me to get you something to eat or drink, you're gonna have to climb dow.

Alright. Whatcha feeling?

[Now she’s just being difficult on purpose.]
