unpopular opinions

Do you think people are too sensitive? Or that Superman isn't so super? Think cats aren't cute? The Beatles are overrated? Love pineapple on pizza? Maybe you just don't like chips rly. Even the best of us have some controversial opinions. Let people know what a monster you are.

top level

with your characters’ unpopular and/or controversial opinion. Or share few of them at once. In person or via text. Prepare for disagreement.

comment

to tell them why they're wrong, validate a kindred spirit, or just troll them for caring about such a silly-ass thing in the first place.

Clearly you have absolutely no sense for fashion.

I have chronic pain and bad ankles. No matter how much I'd like to be fashionable, it's not going to happen if I want to be able to walk. Like, I spent a couple years trying it, and fucked up one of my legs permanently in the process.

I've always believed beauty is worth a little pain - but permanent injury? Maybe not. How bad is it? Maybe there can be work-arounds.

I mean, give me a boot with a nice chunky heel, and I stand a chance of not wobbling like a baby giraffe at an ice skating rink.

The problem is that I have a genetic condition that causes defects in the collagen within my body. What this means is that my joints are hypermobile--I can pop my shoulder by trying to open a door that's too heavy, and my ankles have always wanted to roll a lot more than other people's.

And see, this is where the pencil skirt can help make up for a lack of heels, or at least something with a higher waist to help show off the legs.

But on the other hand, the less that others put care into their appearance means fewer people drawing attention away from me!

Oh, I'm sure that you're more worthy of that attention than I am, anyway.

[There's the subtlest slight mocking edge to those words. Meredith prefers not to be noticed too much, if she's honest. She does her best work off on the sidelines, outside the spotlight. Allowing others to be big shiny egotistical attention grabbers is all to her benefit.]

[Lorne chooses to ignore any of the sarcasm behind those words and continues with his usual arrogant flair.]

Well, I won't argue that. But honestly, you wouldn't do so terribly with just a bit more effort. You have a nice enough face, just... a little something with the hair, at the very - VERY - least.

Like what? It's perfectly suited to my needs as it is now.

You could give it some waves, add a bit more texture... things like that, for example. But either way, it really makes no difference to me, actually.

Then why even bring it up, if it doesn't matter to you?

[Ugh, men.]

Good point. I wonder if I can count "free advice" as charity for tax write-offs?
