I have no idea who Armie Hammer is or was, but usually when people are imprisoned for saying something unpopular, it has to do with religion or politics. Especially in places where they're practically the same thing.

The other category of people who end up in prison for something they've said is ordinary people who happen to find out about something the government really doesn't want people to know.

Usually, they don't even know that what they've found out is all that secret, or they'd have had the sense to keep their mouths shut.

Lady Gaga could probably get away with saying almost anything, because she wouldn't be that difficult to discredit, which might actually be useful to the powers that be if she learned something she shouldn't have learned.
