aita?

am i the asshole?

Life isn’t always black and white. Sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s really at fault, and no one wants to believe they’re the bad guy. Sometimes you need an outside opinion. Or several.

Tell your side of the story and crowdsource an honest answer to the age old question; Am I The Asshole?

Top Level

with your character explaining a situation where they might have been the asshole.

[It does not escape Loki that illusionist and trickster are professions that often go hand in hand, and therefore this charming young woman is likely more trouble than she seems. Still, the only thing he gets called less often than 'sir' is 'good sir', and he is not immune to either charm or ego-petting.]

Well, that sounds like a perfectly practical decision when it comes right down to it, so if you were attempting to entrap them, you've got plausible deniability. So, I would say Not-the-Asshole, or at least No-One-Can-Prove-You're-the-Asshole!

[Maybe it's the green-tinted magic or maybe it's the sharpness of his smile, she's not sure, but something about Loki is reminding Jester powerfully of her best and oldest friend, and it puts her very much at ease.]

That's true, that's very very true, the proving thing. That's important. I do have some pretty good plausible deniability, because we really are trying to hide from evil wizards who do horrible things to people, that part is totally true.
