So I(19M) led a planet-wide revolution against galactic fascism and in the process, got myself and my enemy villain guy(??M) stranded in the middle of nowhere. NOW he says he was actually trying to protect my world(and the galaxy) against a larger threat. But shouldn't he have just said that in the first place? AND NOT TURNED TO IMPERIALISM? Also got a bunch of his crew stuck with us too and probably killed a few hundred or more. Usual rebellion stuff, but AITA?

So, I'm pretty sure that I'm the asshole in this situation. But a certain co-worker of mine thinks otherwise, and I'd like to prove them wrong.

I live in central London, busy town, I'm sure you can imagine what the streets are like. Crammed full of people most of the time. Right, so -- sometime back I went around with a pocket full of shiny new pound coins and -- get this, I super glued them to the sidewalks around London.

Sure, not everyone stops to pick up a pound when they see one on the street, but enough people do. Can you imagine the frustration? Thinking you've scored yourself a bit of easy pocket change, only to find it's glued down? Not to mention all the frustrated people behind them, having to take time to move around them.

So, tell me, AITA?

I mean, yeah, it'd be one thing if I knew they were sick before they did, or something. Not saying anything would be totally wrong and just end up hurting them more.

[A sidelong glance, looking at his face without actually meeting his eyes.]

[She doesn't answer for a long time, hating the way that question seems to writhe inside her chest like a living thing. She feels like a fish on a hook, yanked out of her element and left gasping for air. So she stops trying to look at him at all, turning her face away.]

...I don't know if I would. What's the point of sharing something ugly and painful that you can't do anything about? It's like...like you're hitting someone without actually touching them.

[She thinks about Anja, who told her all the time how stupid and worthless she was. How it was always the truth, always correct—because Anja was so much smarter and braver and better, and that meant she was always right.]

[Aziraphale is absolutely that petty. The last time the coffee shop gave him only four dollops of cream instead of five with his scones, it was a disaster.]
