[His head tilts, curious, almost birdlike.]

Dangerous how?

It carries magic when I speak. I once made an offhand comment as a child and the affected person suddenly stripped and danced a jig in public. It took me about an hour to make him stop. And my parents had to convince the police that it wasn't the sudden-stripper's fault.

[His expression is a bit firmer to prove his seriousness.]

[And yet, in spite of the seriousness of the expression, he can't help but make a half-joking comment.]

Normally I have to put more effort into it when I want to make someone strip and dance.

[Sylvan can at least acknowledge the half-joke as it is. Inside. Silently. Outwardly, he shrugs.]

Any luck your way when you do?

[The levity is nice sometimes. Better than dwelling.]

Sometimes. I've had propositions at least. There was one instance of flashing but booze was definitely involved.

Ah. I can imagine.

[He doesn't drink, though. It might make taking his mask off too tempting to resist...]

While I'm curious, I'd rather not pry about something you don't want to elaborate on.

[He just waves off the concern, first with a gesture of his hand then with a shrug of his own.]

Nah, it wasn't anything scandalous, just a show at a dive bar that got out of hand. It was a great set and people were probably a little too hyped up. The embarrassing stuff tends to happen in the quiet spaces in between.

I see, in theory. What kind of shows are these? Comedy or music? Or something else?

[He tends to keep to himself in a lot of ways. It leaves fewer people to ask questions as a result.]

Music. The one I was thinking about was a late night show at this little venue called the 7th Step.

[Somehow he can't really imagine Sylvan going to a punk concert and experiencing that kind of rowdiness. Otherwise he'd have a mind to invite him to the next one.]

[While it's not his usual, Sylvan can't help but be curious. He tilts his head as he thinks on it.]

When do they have these shows? Address?

[He scratches some at his hair as he thinks, then digs around a moment until he finds a flier that he hands over. It advertises an event at an underground lounge where they'll have small crowd, just based on the capacity.]

We mostly do night time shows unless there's an outdoor event that starts earlier. If you get a pass early they'll throw in free drinks.

[He catches on to that "we" for sure, and nods, accepting the flier with a pronounced gleam of curiosity in his gaze.]

Fascinating. I'll have to make time to go. It's about time I took some, well, time, for myself.

[The 'we' seems obvious enough to him, at least, that it doesn't really require more thought; after all, he was part of a band, not a solo act.

Maybe some day...]
