At least with the former there are less regrets if they don't make it through the night.

Well, well... I didn't expect to see such a familiar face answer my question.

[It wouldn't be the first time, or likely the last she's faced an incarnation of herself, but it has certainly been some time.]

I wonder, how many regrets do you still harbor little fox?

[Had this version of herself come to terms with her past and helped defeat Viego? Or was she still searching for answers?]

They say that self-interrogation is the skill of the wise.

[ Bilgewater, Viego, Yasuo... they were important parts of her journey, but they didn't represent an end, or a change of destination. But they had helped her take a wider view of the paths before her. ]

You must know I regret what I did to him. I can't answer a question like this without that weighing on it.

[Ah... it still hurts her. It's not entirely surprising since she felt like she had only finally come to the point of acceptance in her grief herself. She offers a hand to her twin, an offer for a comforting embrace or a shoulder to cry on if she needs it.]

I am sorry that this happened, and I agree that is a regret we will never be able to undo, but I think it's also important to remember that he loved us enough to forgive our weakness. He wouldn't want to see either one of us pained so deeply for what happened for the rest of our lives, so I hope that one day you can fully accept your past.

[She's pretty sure even she's not entirely there yet, but she feels like she's come quite a long way compared to this Ahri so fresh from Bilgewater.]

We are what we are, and like any predator we must kill to survive, but so long as we don't lose ourselves in the hunt, the tragedies of the past need not repeat themselves. I think you've come quite a long way if I'd care to take a guess, and while this may sound a bit egotistical, I'd like to say I'm proud of what you've accomplished.

I know. So much has happened that I never would have imagined, when I was only chasing my own tails in Ionia.

I can't guess whether I will become the same as you, or not. But I'm glad. That you're strong. That you can speak of it with this candor. Even if it's just talking to yourself, ha...

[ How unusual it is for a stranger such as herself, who only ever approached others from without their circles - their species, their nature as prey, and all that was part of civilization beside - to speak to someone who shared her position. As the last of her kind, as the deadliest of predators, only her mirror could take that role. All of her usual instincts failed her, here. ]

...how do you feel, then? About the question.

I suspect you won't, but that's only natural. Every miniscule decision we makes can affect who we become as a person, every memory, ours or those we steal... It's likely that for all our similarities, even being nearly the very same person, we are still two distinctly different people. Perhaps I represent one path of what could be for you, but who knows?

[She felt as if Bilgewater was almost another lifetime ago with everything that has happened to her since. So many battles and heartaches, loves and lost friends.]

As to the question? It depends upon which question you mean. If it is to answer the question about regrets? There are plenty, but dwelling on them won't change what has happened so it is best to simply hold onto them and remember them so they don't ever happen again.

[Perhaps this incarnation of herself had also made the perilous attempt to rid herself of her memory of killing him. It was probably one of the harshest lessons that truly changed this Ahri so drastically, and had made her past even more difficult to piece together.]

If it's the first question~? I'd say go for the one you find repulsive. You might find that in time your attraction to them will come anyways, and I've learned that some of the most repulsive creatures I've met can actually have surprisingly beautiful souls.

[There's a surprisingly playful and teasing nature about that last bit that contrasts with the seriousness of their other topics. It seems that despite all the pain, she still has a soft spot for being a playful tease even with herself.]
