Whether or not you have a 5 year plan, shit happens. No one knows what tomorrow brings until you're there, looking back at a weird life full of decisions and memories and regrets. Maybe you've changed so much in that time people who knew you then wouldn't even recognize you. Maybe you haven't a changed a bit.

This meme is for one massive time jump. Skip your character's canon ahead 5, 10, 50 years. Whatever. Where are they? Who are they? How do they feel about what's behind them and what's their future look like from here on out?

with a premise that places your character some years in the future. How far is up to you. Just paint us a picture of who and where they are now. No blank TLs.

No, no, let them hear it. Some of the boys need a reason that isn't about them to approach me and anything can help. Besides, it's fun. ... And honestly, I don't think I'd register you calling me anything else as actually referring to me.

( never mind the fact that the idea of rook calling her 'yuu'- or worse, yuuna- just feels downright bizarre. "trickser" she's been from the start, and trickster she'll remain.

the mome raths though... what the fuck, that sounds adorable. maybe she should see about getting to travel a little more- a talk with kalim might help, but she doesn't want to impose on his kindness.

so yeah, it may be what she's brought upon herself, but she doesn't mind listening to him ramble away. )

[Rook grins at that admission. How must it look to an NRC student's wandering eye, seeing a school counselor talking so amiably with someone out of town? Not that such things concerned either of them.]

Ah, and if I called you 'Prefect'? But I suppose that is even less relevant than 'Trickster' nowadays.

Testing? Non, non. I will be attempting to take pictures of their migration. It is difficult not to anticipate them looking like a moving rainbow as they are struck by sunlight breaking the treeline! I'm excited to see it in person.

( she says it with such pep, too. though, she's also mostly joking- all things considered, her story is... rather well known at the school at this point. if only because she still lives in ramshackle with grim, the ghosts and the occasional student who needs some space from their regular dorm. sometimes one of the senior teachers shows up for breakfast, which was... weird at first? but ultimately the nrc staff basically raised her. so it's fine.

[Rook laughs in that particular way of his, always more of a giggle than a reserved chuckle or boisterous guffaw. Even if it wasn't a joke from Yuu, he's earned no small number of comments about his behavior over the years. Coming from Yuu, an oddball in their own right, such comments are especially funny.]

Oui! I will likely be there for a few weeks. But you will still be here with school in session, non? I may have to abscond to your residence if you are on campus.

( not just anyone would get blanket permission to enter the ramshackle dorm, of course- but then, rook can reach the scaffold where the key rests with ease and it's easier to just have him let himself in than find out how he broke in this time. ... or, you know, the ghosts could let him in. whichever comes first. but yuu's casual demeanor falters for a moment as she looks up at rook curiously. )
