bad rap
The things we become known for aren’t always what we’d like to be known for. Reputations are hard to run from. Sometimes they’re not even deserved. So here’s your chance to set the record straight. Clear up some misplaced assumptions, debunk any rumours about yourself and defy your stereotypes.
how to play:
Top level with some aspect of your character's reputation they might be trying to shake. Maybe it's something they're tired of people assuming about them, blaming them for, or pigeonholing them into, etc. Say it in person or over text.
Comment on any surprising, or not so surprising declarations.

Have you ever noticed how concerned our enemies are with who we're having sexual relations with? It seems like a strange preoccupation.
no subject
Tell me about it. They don't have anything better to think about, I guess.
no subject
They must be very bored.
no subject
[ it's SO ANNOYING ]
Or just super horny.
no subject
Angels aren't particularly sexual creatures. The demons, I'll grant you.

[ EXCEPT IT ISN'T, CAS ]
You are.
no subject
I think we've long established that I'm nothing like my brethren.
no subject
Well, that's fair. You're a lot more fun.
no subject
Thank you.
[ there's a beat. and then, sounding far too proud of himself: ]
Dean, did you know that I have fans?
no subject
You're welcome.
[ ...okay cas' pride is stupidly cute ]
Oh yeah? Got people flinging bras at you?
no subject
[ for a moment he just looks fucking baffled, as he's wont to do, but it passes quickly enough. ]
No, someone told me.
no subject
[ poor cas ]
Well, can't blame 'em. You're a hot piece.
no subject
I always thought you and Sam had all the fans. I was never meant to be a main character.
[ he's talking about the books. obviously. or maybe he's thinking of that suspicious alternate universe where their lives were a television show... ]

[ :3 MC cas, up in the hizzouse ]

I did get more involved than I had intended to. But I don't think my popularity is just because of my presence, there must be a reason... Perhaps I should check these social media websites. Just to see. It's pertinent research— I really should know these things.
no subject
[ oh god no don't google yourself again ]
Well, I'm glad you got involved. But I wouldn't bother, the fandom is small.
[ lol ]
no subject
Still... [ he's got a thoughtful look on his face. ] I'd like to see what they have to say about me.
[ lmao. ]
no subject
Well, if they're your fans it's gotta be good.
[ right?? ]
no subject
That's what I'm led to believe.
[ they are both idiots. ]
no subject
Okay. Where's your laptop? Lets have a look.
no subject
[ cas flutters there and back in the span of a few seconds, his laptop tucked under an arm. he sets it down on the library table and opens the lid, perching in a nearby chair with plenty of room for dean beside him. he glances up. ]
What should we search for?
[ he's still not entirely comfortable with technology, even if he's gotten a lot of milage out of it lately. ]
no subject
[ Lets see, he found some of the forums last time, but they were mainly between him, sam, and him and sam. gross. ]
Maybe.. 'Castiel stans'?
no subject
[ he doesn't recognize the terminology, but dean tends to know these things better than him, and so he leans over and types into the keyboard with his brow furrowed. he immediately gets several hits, and actually, they all seem mostly relevant. of course, unlike sam and dean, the name castiel isn't particularly common, so it alone is bound to turn up something.
although he does get several responses peppered between the more relevant results, regarding the angel cassiel, and castiel wonders how the machine makes the connection. he glances to dean. ]
Which one of these links should I choose?
no subject
[ machines are dumb and Dean, squints at the 'correction', then shrugs. ]
Yeah. Try the first one.
no subject
he can't help the way his ears go pink to see people dissecting something so personal. but there's also a strange sense of loyalty there, even approval for his actions— but that's not what surprises him. it's just so strange to see people speak as though they genuinely like him.
his brows furrow together. ]
Didn't you and Sam have to do research for a case that involved Edlund's novels?
so much meta in this thread
it's giving me a giggle
