unpopular opinions

Do you think people are too sensitive? Or that Superman isn't so super? Think cats aren't cute? The Beatles are overrated? Love pineapple on pizza? Maybe you just don't like chips rly. Even the best of us have some controversial opinions. Let people know what a monster you are.

top level

with your characters’ unpopular and/or controversial opinion. Or share few of them at once. In person or via text. Prepare for disagreement.

to tell them why they're wrong, validate a kindred spirit, or just troll them for caring about such a silly-ass thing in the first place.

I look at it as an opportunity to find out who the really unpleasant and possibly dangerous people are, while engaging in harmless debate about issues like rocking chairs and Rodimus Prime's aft end, which is a topic of great interest to numerous persons who are not me.

I've argued with several people here about the relationship between lost privilege and unhealthy nostalgia.

I've also just explained to someone that as a person with a tail, I can't agree that rocking chairs are better than recliners.

Mmm, I guess.

I guess I would just rather have that debate instead of walking in touting; I think differently, probably, debate me for my controversial statements.

It's a valid perspective.

I think it's easier to get more people to play that way. A lot of these "unpopular" opinions seem to be pretty common, even here, where there are multiple species communicating with one another from multiple parts of the multiverse.

Some people are probably attracted to it because they want to oppose something. Others, because they feel that their opinions are unpopular, and they're looking for people to share them.

Before the revolution, I used to throw parties. We were all very poor, so people brought what they could, and we read poems and debated things. Sometimes, we danced. If you're not invested in only the things that the humanoid frame can do, I am actually an excellent dancer.

People like to be excited about things. Especially when they're angry, and they know they have reason to be, and they're not really sure what they can do about it.

Some of the people here seem to come from places that are relatively safe and secure, though I don't know if their worlds are better than mine or if they're just relatively privileged in their societies. Some of the people here are just ...tired.

I'm all for whatever it takes to get people talking.

[She hummed at this, there was quite an interest in her tone.]

So either you're exasperated for being the outcast, want to be the outcast, or make other people into outcasts.

When you put it that way, just sounds like life, huh?

Probably, but then we are alive, so technically it is a part of life?

I think we'd be friends if you lived in my world, as long as we met after the Decepticons stopped invading your planet.
