Good. I'm not that committed to being right. Guess that's a misconception about me. I like to argue, but mostly because it's a surefire way of keeping the conversation going.

It's not flattery. Most people lose their patience by now, talking to someone like this.

I'm not exactly overwhelmed with things I need to be getting around to. My life slowed down a lot in the 60's.

Not really. I don't think about it like that. If someone wants to argue with you, then you must be worth their time, right?

I guess that's probably true. Maybe it's just a lie I tell myself. My partner was the most argumentative person you could ever imagine meeting.

I think it's frustrating. Maybe not inauthentic, but definitely limiting.

Acting up for someone's attention isn't exactly unheard of.

Well. So is not having a face. But we're all working with what we've got.

I don't think there was ever a concern about lack of attention. I followed around like a lost puppy. I think it was just what we were raised on.

That's okay. I was happy to give it. Maybe not always, I guess, but in retrospect if I knew that's what was needed, I would've done it as much as I could've.
