So when I got sheared on Sakaar, was that a tragic loss to the universe or were you laughing inside about it?

I sincerely doubt it. He did not have time to plan such a thing, thinking I was dead and everything.

Why can't it be both? Comedy is merely tragedy plus distance, they say. I'm merely ahead of my time.

I suppose you think it's a shame it grew back so quickly so you couldn't gift me with ridiculous hats while it was growing out.

If we had stayed on Sakaar, I could have found you a stupid hat for every day of the year. You didn't see the way people dressed at some of those parties.

I'm suddenly very grateful that the last thing my eye ever saw was not what they wear at Sakaaran parties. Some things can never be unseen. What I saw was bad enough.

There was one woman who constantly wore what looked like a basket on her head--no, not even a basket, more like one of those sink-strainers that Midgardians put their dishes in to dry. I dropped an empty wine glass into it once when she wasn't looking. The Grandmaster laughed so hard I thought he was going to pull a muscle.

An empty one? I'm surprised you didn't pour a soup through it.

There wasn't much soup at those parties. Liquor, sweets, drugs, and En Dwi Gast's weird synthesizer music.

That sounds horribly dull. No wonder you had to resort to pranking fellow partygoers.

Well a lot of them devolved into orgies, as well, but you really don't want the details there.

I admit, the catering could have used some work. Nothing there was going to compare to an Asgardian feast, but you'd think they could have managed a decent pizza party.

At least down in the gladiator pits, they fed us actual food. It wasn't good but that's besides the point.

One can only discuss Sakaar for so long without discussing either orgies, or gladiators, or both.

This is making me hungry, oddly enough. Let's go get burgers.
