They are quite flawed, I admit. But I believe every alternative is equally as flawed. If not more-so.

You're telling me that when they find out you're not a human even though you look exactly like one, they're just like "wow that's so fuckin' cool, I love you, I hope there are more of you out there so I can love them too, we're so alike but different, this is great."

My friends knew I wasn't human the moment we met. Their positive estimation of my species didn't last for long, but I don't think they had any choice but to change their opinion. We aren't particularly kind. Or... good, for that matter.

Humans still have too much hindbrain calling the shots. Anytime their fear is tweaked, if they see something they don't understand, monkey takes over and bam! Pitchforks, apocalyptic journals warning future adventurers, the whole thing.

Give em another five million years in the evolutionary oven. They'll firm up.

I mean... In my experience, they're pretty fragile. After you see a few dozen of them die it gets harder to get attached.

Perhaps it depends on the person. Although I admit, I have an unfair advantage in that area. Seeing as I can visit Heaven at will. And... potentially revive the dead, in extreme cases.

Oh, well in that case, go nuts. They're kind of boring in bed compared to nonhumans but that's a personal preference thing.

My kind really wasn't meant to have sex, but I think interacting with humans does something to us.

Not intrinsically, no. In and of itself, it isn't a bad thing or a good thing.
